In this collection, we have worked with materials such as bamboo combined with organic cotton and Tencel lyocell, two options that allow us to create soft, fresh garments with a very special drape.
Bamboo and organic cotton: softness, freshness, and naturalness
Bamboo combined with organic cotton allows us to achieve a pleasant, lightweight, and very comfortable fabric for hot days. Bamboo provides softness and a cool sensation on the skin, while organic cotton adds body, naturalness, and that approachable feel that is so much a part of Neu de Cotó.
We like this blend because it fits with the idea of garments that are truly lived in: easy, comfortable, and beautiful pieces, designed to accompany you through many summer moments.
We love bamboo for its delicate touch and for being a fast-growing, renewable plant-based raw material, although we always prefer to talk about sustainability with honesty: it's not just about where a fiber comes from, but also how it is processed, how it is manufactured, and how long it stays in our closet. Organic cotton brings that natural, relatable quality that is so characteristic of Neu de Cotó, using farming methods that avoid the use of genetically modified seeds and certain persistent synthetic chemicals.
The 4% elastane serves a very specific purpose: to provide elasticity, comfort, and shape retention to the fabric. Although elastane is not the most sustainable part of the composition and can make textile recycling more difficult, we include it in a low proportion to improve the fit and the lifespan of the garment. For us, there is also sustainability in having a piece that fits well, moves with you, and maintains its shape so you want to wear it many times.
Because a responsible garment doesn't start and end with a label. It's also in the care with which it is designed, in the quality of the fabric, in how it feels against the skin, and in the intention to create pieces that last beyond a single season.

Tencel lyocell: fluid drape and special touch
Lyocell is a cellulosic fiber highly valued for its softness, lightness, and fluid drape. It is one of those fabrics you can notice as soon as you touch it: it has movement, it adapts naturally, and it provides a delicate finish without losing comfort.
Furthermore, lyocell is associated with more responsible production processes. In the case of TENCEL™ Lyocell, the fiber is produced from wood pulp using a closed-loop system that recovers more than 99% of the solvent used in the process.
That is why we think it is a wonderful choice for a summer collection: because it combines quality, freshness, and a more thoughtful way of understanding garments.
